Sports & Rec Assistant - Ralphola Taylor Community Center / Bridgeport Y

The Sports & Rec Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities. This position involves engaging with members, guests, and program participants, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, and assisting instructors in organizing and leading sports and recreational activities. • Minimum age: 16 years old
• Preferred experience in customer service, sales, or related roles
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with standard business software
• Passion for youth development, recreation, and community engagement
• Ability to work well with diverse groups, including youth and adults
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire
• Physical ability to lift 10-25 pounds and remain active during shifts
