The Golf Course Equipment Operator is a mid-level position responsible for the safe operation of motorized turf equipment used in golf course maintenance. This role builds on laborer experience and introduces more complex mowing and operational tasks that directly impact course conditioning. Operators in this role are expected to demonstrate care in machine handling and perform light preventative maintenance.
Outdoors in heat and humidity, with exposure to lawn maintenance equipment, chemicals, and computers for recordkeeping and scheduling.
Golf maintenance operates 7 days/week. Early mornings and weekend work is required as part of a rotating crew schedule.
