Junior Supply Chain & System Professional (SCE-SSC-SC-2026-231-GRAE)

You will support day-to-day logistics operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging digital tools and systems to enhance operational performance, improve data visibility and support decision-making. As part of the Logistics Operations team, you will contribute to efficient and sustainable supply chain solutions across a wide range of services supporting CERN's community, including Goods Reception and Expedition, Internal Delivery, Stores, Storage and Mail Services.

Your responsibilities

• Support logistics operations, including inventory management and process optimisation.
• Improve data visibility through technical tools such as Power BI and ERP systems, and contribute to KPI monitoring and reporting.
• Contribute to the implementation of efficient and sustainable supply chain solutions and systems and to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate operations-related projects with various stakeholders and contractors.

Your profile

• First experience in Supply Chain Operations and Logistics, including inventory management, process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• First exposure in project management, data analytics and visualisation, using tools such as Power BI, Excel or ERP systems.
• Experience working within a multinational team.

Skills

• Good knowledge of Power BI, advanced Excel, ERP systems and data visualisation for KPI development and reporting.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement, operational excellence, inventory and warehouse management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration. Ability to work autonomously.
• Spoken and written both English and French.

Eligibility criteria:

• You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
• By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Supply Chain (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
• Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
• Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.

Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.

Working hours: 40 hours per week
