Position Summary

We are seeking hardworking, reliable, and physically fit Porters to join our Operations team. In this role, you will work directly alongside our Truck Drivers to ensure the safe, efficient collection, loading, and transport of waste, materials, and equipment. This position offers a diverse scope of work supporting our municipal, commercial, and industrial operations (including the oil and gas sector).

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Truck Driver to safely load, collect, and unload waste, containers, materials, or equipment.
• Assist the driver with navigating tight spaces, backing up, reversing, and spotting hazards on the road or job sites.
• Ensure collection sites and customer properties are left clean, tidy, and free of spilled debris.
• Properly secure materials, bin lids, and equipment on the vehicle before transit to ensure road safety.
• Handle company equipment and customer property with care and respect.
• Adhere strictly to all occupational health, safety (HSE), and environmental regulations.
• Report any safety hazards, accidents, or customer issues immediately to the driver or supervisor.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Porter, loader, or in a physical labor/outdoor operational role.
• High physical stamina and the strength to lift, carry, and move heavy objects continuously throughout the shift.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to work effectively alongside a driver.
• Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overtime, or varied shifts based on operational needs.
• High awareness of safety protocols and a commitment to working safely at all times.
