At CFC, data is at the heart of how we make decisions, improve performance and drive innovation across our business. We're looking for a Business Analyst to join our MI & Data Insights team and play a key role in shaping how data, technology and business teams work together.
This isn't a traditional reporting style role. You'll act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to translate complex requirements into meaningful solutions that improve efficiency, enhance decision-making and unlock greater value from our data.
Working closely with underwriting, distribution, claims, finance, actuarial and technology teams, you'll be involved in high-profile transformation initiatives that directly influence how one of the world's leading specialist insurance businesses operates.

As a Business Analyst within our Performance Management function, you'll be a driving force behind continuous improvement and operational excellence across the MI & Data Insights team. You'll work on a variety of strategic and business-critical initiatives, helping to modernise processes, improve reporting capabilities and support the adoption of new technologies and ways of working.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, remove inefficiencies and enhance team performance.
- Supporting large-scale transformation projects, including technology migrations, automation initiatives and data modernisation programmes.
- Translating business requirements into actionable solutions for Data and Technology teams.
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand challenges, define requirements and deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Conducting data analysis and discovery work to support strategic initiatives and change programmes.
- Supporting testing, user acceptance activities and governance processes to ensure successful delivery.
- Driving business adoption through stakeholder engagement, training and continuous feedback loops.
- Helping to shape frameworks, controls and quality standards that improve consistency and confidence in reporting.
We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder management skills.
You may currently be working as a Business Analyst, MI Analyst, Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, BI Analyst or Analytics Consultant and be looking for a role where you can have greater visibility, influence and ownership.
You'll bring:
- Experience working within an MI, Reporting, Analytics or Data Insights function.
- A strong understanding of the London Market, Lloyd's or wider insurance industry.
- The ability to translate business problems into data and technology solutions.
- Experience gathering requirements, improving processes and supporting change initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, insights and opportunities from complex data.
- Experience using tools such as SQL, Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- A naturally curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and finding smarter ways of working.
Experience within delegated authority, MGA or specialty insurance environments would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
