As a Senior Consultant you will play a key role in helping organisations strengthen their cyber resilience through the delivery of Solis Security's professional services. Working across Cyber Incident Exercising (CIE), Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Incident Response (IR), you will partner with clients, delivery teams and commercial stakeholders to design, deliver and continuously improve services that help organisations prepare for, respond to and recover from cyber threats. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of engagements, supporting clients across multiple sectors and geographies.
You'll lead and facilitate cyber incident exercises, support client onboarding and service adoption, contribute to incident triage activities and collaborate closely with our Security Operations and Incident Response teams. Combining practical cybersecurity expertise with strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, you'll help clients understand their cyber risk, test their response capabilities and build greater organisational resilience.
This is a highly collaborative, client-facing role within a fast-growing cybersecurity business. You'll work alongside experienced incident responders, security consultants and cyber specialists, contributing to the development of innovative services while building trusted client relationships and delivering exceptional outcomes in an increasingly complex threat landscape.
- Lead the planning, coordination, development and delivery of Cyber Incident Exercising engagements, including tabletop and live-play exercises, ensuring scenarios are realistic, relevant to the client’s operating environment and aligned to agreed objectives.
- Design and prepare exercise materials, including scenarios, injects, facilitator guides, participant briefings and post-exercise outputs, to support consistent, professional and repeatable delivery across client engagements.
- Facilitate exercise sessions with client stakeholders, encouraging discussion, decision-making and learning while capturing observations, strengths, gaps and agreed improvement actions.
- Produce clear and concise exercise outputs that summarise key findings, lessons learned and recommended actions for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support Global Security Operations with pre-sales and sales conversations by translating technical service capability into clear business value for commercial buyers, prospects and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with scoping discussions, client requirement gathering and solution positioning for GSO services, helping ensure proposed services are practical, achievable and aligned to client needs.
- Support Incident Response operations by assisting with the triage and management of new cyber incident cases, helping to assess urgency, gather initial facts and coordinate appropriate next steps.
- Work with IR teams to maintain clear communication, case coordination and handover discipline during the early stages of an incident, ensuring clients receive timely and organised support.
- Support client onboarding sessions by explaining relevant services, operating models, escalation routes and engagement expectations in a clear and accessible manner.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of service delivery materials, processes and client-facing documentation, helping Solis Security maintain a high standard of professionalism, consistency and quality across engagements.
- Support the delivery and coordination of additional professional services engagements, including security assessments, and manage the coordination and oversight of technical services; such as penetration testing projects.

You'll have:
- Experience working in cybersecurity, incident response, consulting, professional services or a related field.
- A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, security best practice and the challenges organisations face when managing cyber risk.
- Knowledge of incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management principles.
- Familiarity with security technologies such as EDR, XDR, identity management, logging and monitoring platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and adapt to evolving requirements in a dynamic environment.
- A proactive mindset, a desire to learn and a genuine enthusiasm for cybersecurity and client service.
Nice to have:
- Experience delivering or supporting cyber incident exercises, including tabletop or live-play simulations.
- Experience in incident response, security operations, digital forensics or cyber crisis management.
- Experience supporting client onboarding, service delivery, pre-sales activities or consulting engagements.
- Relevant cybersecurity, cloud, incident response or project delivery certifications.
- A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
Education and Qualifications
- A degree is not required, although a relevant degree or equivalent experience would be beneficial.
- Relevant vendor, IT, cybersecurity, incident response, cloud, security operations or project delivery qualifications would be desirable.
