Automated Finance: Delivery – Senior Manager

As a Senior Manager in our Automated Finance Delivery practice, you will lead client engagements and delivery teams responsible for critical finance and accounting operations. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, oversee the quality and consistency of recurring accounting delivery, and identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, technology, and the overall effectiveness of the finance organization.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead Automated Finance engagements across assessment, transition, and ongoing finance and accounting delivery.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior client stakeholders throughout outsourced controllership and accounting-operations initiatives.
- Oversee delivery across core controllership activities, including accounting operations, financial close, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and related finance processes.
- Ensure recurring accounting activities are delivered accurately, consistently, and in accordance with applicable accounting policies, controls, timelines, and client expectations.
- Drive process improvement and standardization across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, and related end-to-end finance processes.
- Advise senior client leadership on complex accounting and operational challenges and develop actionable solutions.
- Oversee the design and implementation of dashboards, data models, operational reporting, KPI frameworks, and strategic management insights.
- Drive the use of finance technologies, AI, automation, and other digital capabilities to improve scalability, quality, and efficiency.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support integrated delivery and strong client outcomes.
- Supervise and conduct detailed reviews of team deliverables to maintain quality and manage delivery risk.
- Manage, mentor, and coach Consultants and Managers, providing meaningful feedback and supporting professional development.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and develop additional solutions based on client needs.
- Participate in recruiting, proposals, business development, methodology development, and other practice-building initiatives.
- Stay current on accounting, finance, Automated Finance, and emerging technology trends relevant to client strategies.
What you must have
- 8–12 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting/audit, accounting advisory, outsourced accounting, Automated Finance, shared services, or a comparable accounting environment, including significant experience leading recurring accounting or controllership delivery.
- At least 1 year of external audit experience with a public accounting firm.
- Experience leading significant accounting or finance engagements involving ongoing financial close, reporting, controllership operations, general accounting, or related recurring finance processes.

- Experience leading complex accounting and controllership operations governed by U.S. GAAP, financial reporting requirements, and internal controls.
- Experience overseeing month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and broader recurring accounting operations.
- Experience leading accounting teams responsible for sustained delivery across multiple close and reporting cycles.
- Experience leading process improvement across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, or related end-to-end finance processes.

- Experience managing cross-functional teams, engagement delivery, timelines, quality, and competing client priorities.
- Experience reviewing complex team deliverables and developing Consultants and Managers through coaching and feedback.
- Experience designing or overseeing dashboards, data models, KPI reporting, management reporting, or related analytics.
- Experience demonstrating sustained ownership and increasing leadership responsibility across accounting engagements, client relationships, or finance operations.

- CPA, MBA, CFA, or another relevant professional credential.
- Experience with finance technologies, ERP platforms, data visualization, AI, automation, or workflow tools.
- Experience leading Automated Finance, outsourced controllership, shared-services, or other ongoing accounting-delivery engagements.
- Experience transitioning accounting or finance activities from an internal operating model to an outsourced, standardized, or technology-enabled delivery model.
- Experience identifying and implementing technology-enabled or automated finance solutions.
- Experience contributing to client expansion, proposals, business development, recruiting, or practice-development efforts.
