We're building the next generation of assurance at Change Grow Live and looking for experienced, curious and forward-thinking Internal Audit Leads to help make it happen. This is more than a traditional audit role. It's an opportunity to help design and embed a modern, risk-based assurance approach that strengthens governance, enables better decisions and drives continuous improvement across the organisation.

This is more than a traditional audit role. It's an opportunity to help design and embed a modern, risk-based assurance approach across one of the UK's largest health and social care charities, ensuring our services remain safe, effective and focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for the people we support.

Working as part of our Assurance Directorate, you'll help shape audit methodologies, develop innovative assurance tools, identify emerging risks and turn insight into meaningful organisational improvement. You'll collaborate with senior leaders, operational colleagues, subject matter experts and governance teams, influencing how assurance supports decision-making across the organisation.

The Details: 

National | Hybrid Working

You'll enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working, alongside regular opportunities to connect face-to-face with colleagues through national meetings, leadership forums and Directorate-wide activities.Hours: 37.5 hours per week*

Contract Type: Secondment until 31st March 2027

*Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

• Developing and embedding a modern, risk-based audit and assurance programme.
• Designing audit methodologies, frameworks, tools and assurance resources.
• Producing high-quality audit reports that generate meaningful insight and improvement.
• Identifying trends, risks, themes and opportunities through audit findings and organisational intelligence.
• Working with stakeholders across operational, clinical, digital and corporate functions to strengthen assurance practice.
• Supporting organisation-wide governance, risk and compliance initiatives.
• Helping establish effective systems for tracking recommendations, actions and organisational learning.

What you'll bring

You'll be someone who combines analytical thinking with strong relationship-building skills and a genuine passion for improvement.

We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:

• Audit, assurance or quality improvement experience.
• The ability to conduct robust evidence-based reviews and assessments.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Experience influencing and working collaboratively across complex organisations.
• Excellent judgement, curiosity and attention to detail.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
• Confidence interpreting information, identifying themes and translating findings into practical improvements.

Professional audit qualifications are welcomed, but we also recognise the value of equivalent assurance, governance and quality improvement experience.

Salary Range (pro rata if part time)

CGL points 43 to 48 (£48,987.04 - £54,663.24)
