National Governance Officer

We're looking for a National Governance Officer to help strengthen governance across Change Grow Live, ensuring our frameworks, processes and decision-making structures are effective, consistent and aligned to organisational priorities. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organisation, you'll help transform governance from a process into a powerful enabler of performance, assurance and continuous improvement.

This is a highly visible national role with the opportunity to influence how governance operates across one of the UK's largest health and social care charities.

You'll:

• Review and enhance governance frameworks, standards and ways of working.
• Support governance groups to improve oversight, accountability and decision-making.
• Develop practical tools, guidance and resources that embed best practice.
• Help turn complex information, risks and assurances into clear reporting for senior leaders.
• Build strong relationships across operational and corporate teams to drive continuous improvement.

The Details: 

Location: National / Hybrid

You'll enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working, alongside regular opportunities to connect face-to-face with colleagues through national meetings, leadership forums and Directorate-wide activities.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week*Contract Type: Secondment until 31st March 2027

*Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About you

You'll bring:

• Experience in governance, assurance, compliance, quality or corporate secretariat environments.
• A strong understanding of governance principles and frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify gaps and implement improvements.
• Experience producing high-quality reports, guidance and governance documentation.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
