K-12 SPECIAL EDUCATION

Overview: 

Central Lake Public Schools seeks a highly qualified, motivated, and organized K-12 Special Education teacher for the 2024-25 school year. The specific grade level assignment is to be determined based on student needs and placement. 

Certification: 

Valid State of Michigan teaching certificate with Special Education (SM, SE, or equivalent) endorsement. 

Qualifications: 

• Demonstrate enthusiasm and expertise in working with students with a wide range of disabilities 
• Able to organize and direct students and classroom aides 
• Able to work collaboratively with peers, supervisors, Char-Em ISD staff, and parents to develop educational plans for students 
• Able to create, implement, and access student IEP’s 
• Able to differentiate instruction based on student needs 
• Impeccable record of attendance 
• Willingness to demonstrate lifelong learning through professional development and a growth mindset 
• Able to positively participate in building and district committees 

Compensation: 

Pay is based on the Central Lake Teacher Master Agreement (2024-2025 salary schedule) and is commensurate with experience.
