At Chartis Federal, our mission is clear: keeping heroes safe and connected—on the battlefield, on the border, and in our backyards.

This role functions as a subject matter expert responsible for developing requirements from project inception through completion, guiding technical direction, and providing authoritative recommendations on system performance, modernization, and sustainment efforts.

The RF Engineer SME will work closely with Government stakeholders, program leadership, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure mission-critical communications systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with operational requirements.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Evaluate and recommend system enhancements, optimization strategies, and modernization approaches
    • Support field testing, validation, and troubleshooting of wireless communication systems
    • Design and evaluate power solutions, including solar and alternative energy systems supporting communications infrastructure
    • Develop network transport and routing strategies and document designs through detailed network diagrams
    • Prepare and present technical reports, white papers, and executive briefings to Government stakeholders
    • Collaborate with vendors, engineers, and program teams to support procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management
