Lifestyle & Programs Manager

Are you passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors through engaging and meaningful experiences? Chartwell is looking for a Lifestyle and Programs Manager to design and lead engaging experiences for our retirement residence community. You’ll play a key role in creating a vibrant, welcoming environment where our residents feel inspired, connected, and cared for.

What You’ll Do

• Design and deliver innovative programs aligned with Chartwell’s six dimensions of wellness
• Monitor resident engagement and enhance programming for enjoyment and impact
• Partner with marketing to host events that support community visibility and business goals
• Create communication materials to promote activities and events
• Manage budgets, volunteers, fundraising, and community partnerships

• Lead activity staff, support residence operations, and participate in Manager on Duty rotation

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum one to three years of experience planning or managing recreational programs
• Post-secondary education in recreation, gerontology, social work or similar
• Great communication and leadership skills and customer experience
• Strong organizational and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel 
• Valid driver’s license with appropriate classification for passenger transportation, per provincial regulations (or willingness to get one)
• First Aid Certification (we’ll provide the training)

Additional Requirements 

• Some physical activity (like lifting boxes) and occasional weekend shifts
• Some travel may be required
• Comfort using AI and other digital platform systems and tools to support daily work
• Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
