    Job description

    Job Description:

    Overview:

We don’t simply hire employees. We invest in them. When you work at Chatham, we empower you — offering professional development opportunities to help you grow in your career, no matter if you've been here for five months or 15 years. Chatham has worked hard to create a distinct work environment that values people, teamwork, integrity, and client service. You will have immediate opportunities to partner with talented subject matter experts, work on complex projects, and contribute to the value Chatham delivers every day.

Chatham's Financial Risk Advisory teams advise clients on interest rate, foreign currency, commodity, and capital markets decisions across a wide range of sectors. Our independent advisory approach is supported by technology tools that help clients understand financial trade-offs and execute strategies at the individual asset and portfolio level.

We are seeking a Vice President with 5+ years of relevant experience to join our EMEA Financial Risk Advisory team focused on delivering tailored risk management and capital markets solutions for our real estate clients.

    In this role you will

    • Provide advisory services to clients on derivative products and risk management strategies involving mainly interest rate and FX exposures and, if relevant, inflation and commodity exposures.

    • Support clients develop and implement hedging strategies that complement their debt portfolios and reflect their risk appetite.

    • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of client financial portfolios and exposures to inform recommendations.

    • Structure, model, and analyze complex derivative transactions to meet client objectives.

    • Lead preparation and review of transaction documentation and processes, partnering with legal and risk stakeholders to support compliance.

    • Collaborate closely with deal managers, trading/execution, legal, and other teams to ensure seamless transaction execution and client satisfaction.

    • Deliver client presentations, market research, reports, and briefings to support decision-making and board-level discussions.

    • Maintain and deepen direct client relationships, including onboarding, ongoing portfolio monitoring, and strategic advisory.

    Your impact

You will be a key contributor to our clients' success by providing expert advisory services that protect and enhance their financial interests for our real estate clients. You will help clients make better decisions in complex markets, strengthen their risk governance and execution capabilities, and deliver outcomes that support long-term value creation.

Our goal is to develop people to their fullest potential so that they can achieve greater responsibilities, and have impact on those around them, clients and teammates alike. While our work is in the financial realm, the primary qualification to apply is a willingness to join our community. No professional experience or certifications are required as we provide the relevant education through a mixture of training and apprenticeship programs, but our process is highly selective as we intentionally seek candidates with traits that contribute to the balance of firm’s culture.

    Contributors to your success

    • 5+ years of professional experience in financial risk advisory, derivatives, treasury, capital markets, debt advisory, corporate finance, or related roles.

    • Bachelor's degree required (or higher). A degree in finance is not required; quantitative aptitude and critical thinking are essential.

    • Proven understanding of derivative products, financial modeling, and risk management principles; experience structuring, pricing, and executing transactions is strongly preferred.

    • Strong analytical capability, including experience working with large data sets; statistical analysis and advanced modeling experience is a plus.

    • Strong verbal and written communication are critical, providing the ability to communicate complex subject matter in a way that educates and prioritizes findings, flexing delivery style to accommodate different audiences, engaging with clients on new proposals and ongoing delivery, and effective communication through various formats (PowerPoint slides, email, verbal, spreadsheets, etc.).

    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Commercial acumen, with the ability to negotiate, influence, and drive alignment with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with proprietary analytics tools is a plus.

    • Fluent English required; additional language capabilities will be regarded favourably.

    Core competencies

    • Client-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships.

    • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and sound judgment.

    • Clear, structured communication and the ability to translate complex topics for different audiences.

    • Collaborative team player who works effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

    • Self-motivated and proactive, with a commitment to learning and continuous improvement.
