Capper Operator Lead

The Capper Operator/Lead Operator is responsible for overseeing the operational performance of the depositor machine and related production tasks. This includes alignment of mechanical parts, quality checks of marshmallow, coating, and cookie components, and collaboration with Quality Control to ensure product integrity.

The role

requires technical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and strong leadership skills to supervise a small team and maintain efficient operations. The position involves standing for extended periods, operating machinery, lifting materials, and maintaining safety, GMP, and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Align and tighten manifolds on the depositor machine before and during production.

• Adjust air and weights on marshmallow flow to the depositor machine for consistency and accuracy.
  
• Oversee marshmallow, coating, and cookie production, ensuring all machines are functioning properly.
  
• Perform quality checks, including cookie weights and alignment, and adjust processes accordingly.
  
• Manage the startup, operation, and shutdown of depositor and flattening belts.
  
• Set up necessary production equipment and materials (e.g., rework tubs, scrap bins, cookie bins).
  
• Collaborate with Quality Control to maintain proper standards across all product areas.
  
• Support sanitation efforts, including cleaning equipment and disposing of trash and scrap.
  
• Monitor and document marshmallow temperature and related equipment performance.
  
• Provide leadership to team members, fostering morale and job performance.
  
• Uphold all GMP, safety, and company policy standards.
