Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a UI/UX Developer who is responsible for designing and developing intuitive, user-centered digital experiences that support healthcare analytics, reporting, and business intelligence applications for the Indian Health Service (IHS). This role collaborates with developers, data architects, business analysts, project managers, and government stakeholders to translate business requirements into accessible, responsive, and visually engaging user interfaces that enhance usability and support data-driven decision-making. The UI/UX Developer will contribute to the modernization and enhancement of existing data mart applications, dashboards, reports, and web-based solutions while ensuring compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements

Responsibilities
- Design user-centered interfaces for web applications, dashboards, data visualization tools, and reporting platforms.
- Gather, analyze, and document user requirements through stakeholder meetings, workshops, and feedback sessions.
- Create wireframes, mockups, user flows, journey maps, and interactive prototypes to support application development efforts.
- Collaborate with development teams to translate design concepts into responsive web applications.
- Improve usability, accessibility, navigation, and overall user experience across existing and new digital solutions.
- Support the design and enhancement of business intelligence and analytics platforms, including dashboards and self-service reporting tools.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and federal usability requirements.
- Develop and maintain design standards, style guides, and reusable user interface components.
- Participate in testing activities, usability reviews, and validation of application enhancements.
- Provide recommendations for user experience improvements, process efficiencies, and modern interface design practices.
- Assist with training materials, presentations, and user documentation related to application functionality and design.
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and meet customer expectations.
- Support continuous modernization efforts to improve user adoption, visual consistency, and overall product effectiveness.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in UI/UX design and development.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into user-focused design solutions.
- Experience developing responsive web application interfaces.
- Working knowledge of accessibility and usability best practices.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required federal background investigation clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Federal Government or healthcare-related programs.
- Experience designing interfaces for business intelligence, analytics, data reporting, or dashboard solutions.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
- Experience with SharePoint and enterprise web applications.
- Familiarity with healthcare data environments or public health reporting systems.
- Experience supporting Section 508 compliance reviews and accessibility testing.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, database administrators, and business intelligence specialists.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies and human-centered design principles.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and interactive design solutions.
- Knowledge of responsive web design and modern front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to design effective dashboards, reports, and data visualization interfaces that simplify complex information.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards, including Section 508 and WCAG requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present design concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or collaborative project environments.
- Ability to balance user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar platforms.
