This position requires a Secret clearance.

Position Summary
The Electronic Technician III provides technical support for electronic security and monitoring systems at Fort Sill, OK. The technician works with the team lead and senior technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, configure, and modify electronic equipment and associated software and systems.

Responsibilities include ensuring equipment operates properly and efficiently, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, responding to service requests, and completing installations, relocations, replacements, and system modifications as required.

Responsibilities
Assist with site surveys to identify equipment and system requirements.

Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic equipment and systems.

Perform software and system changes necessary to maintain equipment functionality.

Assist with preparation of work requests and service documentation.

Schedule and perform preventive maintenance inspections and operational testing.

Maintain system databases and associated electronic records.

Perform standard and emergency maintenance service calls.

Troubleshoot and repair wiring, sensors, electronic components, and related equipment.

Inspect, test, and replace backup batteries and other components as needed.

Install new equipment and systems, including wiring, terminations, configuration, and testing.

Reconfigure existing systems, including removal, replacement, relocation, and modification of equipment and wiring.

Perform system testing and verification to ensure equipment operates within applicable manufacturer specifications.

Document completed work, repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities.

Coordinate with team members and customers to identify and resolve technical issues.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience, Education & Skills

Experience in electronics, electrical systems, electronic security systems, communications systems, or a related technical discipline.

Experience installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electronic equipment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to exercise independent judgment when performing repairs and maintenance.

Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.

Strong customer-service skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications.

Ability to use standard electronic testing and diagnostic equipment.

Ability to safely perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.

Ability to document technical work accurately and clearly.
