Position Summary

As a Dietary Aide, you will support the dietary team in preparing and serving meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring residents receive meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and serve meal trays according to dietary guidelines
• Assist with meal service and food preparation
• Clear trays and operate the dishwasher
• Monitor and record dishwasher temperature and sanitation levels
• Prepare snacks and nourishments
• Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment
• Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dining areas
• Store food and supplies safely and properly
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout shift
• Follow all food safety and infection control procedures
• Assist the cook and dietary supervisor as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s Certificate
• Experience in a healthcare or food service setting preferred
• Ability to learn food service routines quickly
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized
