Federal Technical Writer

Chevo is hiring an experienced Federal Technical Writer to join our expanding firm in the Washington, DC area. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business better than they know it and to become a trusted advisor.  Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to DHS Stakeholder Engagement and Communications. This position provides a hybrid work environment, with 1-day per week client engagement expected. Client site located in the Washington DC metro area.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops, writes, and edits materials for manuals, reports, studies, customization of training materials, and other types of documentation for varied audiences. Develops high-visibility, multi-faceted documents.
• Uses guidelines such as program objectives and identified audience needs, researches, writes, edits, and designs a variety of technical and promotional project specific materials.
• Researches appropriate subject-matter literature and proofread copies of regulation / guideline manuals for accuracy of interpretation and grammar.
