    Job description

As part of our team, you'll work under the guidance of the Credible Messenger Program Coordinator and CFI Program Director, providing essential oversight of daily operations while mentoring youth involved in the Credible Messenger program.     The impactful work you'll be doing:

    • Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to youth; participate in training and community-building activities.
    • Mentor youth involved in the Juvenile Justice system
      • Develop and track goal achievement plans with youth.
      • Follow referral processes as outlined in the grant.
      • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to mandated reporting requirements.
      • Conduct weekly home visits and provide support at home or school.
      • Ensure timely completion and submission of required data.
      • Offer crisis support as needed.
      • Contact referred youth within 5 business days of receiving a referral.
      • Build positive relationships with QRTPs, State Training Schools, and other residential facilities to support reentry planning.
    • Bring prior experience with the Juvenile Justice system, Criminal Justice system, or lived experience.
    • Stay informed about community resources and attend local meetings to learn about available services for youth.
    • Participate in local, county, and statewide meetings, and collaborate with Juvenile Court Services (JCS) in the 7th Judicial District.
    • Complete required paperwork, enter data, and assist with grant reporting.
