Position Summary:
Children's Aid runs a camp in Chappaqua, NY that runs three main programs, Summer Day Camp, Overnight Respite, and Adventure Team Building. The camp runs year-round and has 52 acres and 13 buildings to manage.
The Adventure Coordinator -Maintenance Support 2026 is a position that includes Adventure Supervising in the summer, running the Adventure Day Program during the school year, and competing maintenance tasks during the school year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Summer Camp Duties: running the adventure program and supervising 2 or 3 adventure assists in engaging 250 campers in climbing the high ropes course.
• Adventure Day Programming Duties: marketing the service and booking groups in the fall and spring for ropes course activities; recruiting per diem facilitators to staff the day programming; managing the ropes course supplies and materials; setting up annual training review for the facilitators; planning and implementing programming for each day group.
• Maintenance Support Duties: during the academic year completing maintenance tasks working with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain the camp. These duties would include cleaning cabins, bathrooms and program spaces, managing the laundry, taking in deliveries, setting up program spaces for summer and taking them down in the fall, cleaning the pools, shoveling and salting pathways, weed whacking, and setting up for day programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in managing an adventure ropes course program
• At least 2 years supervising staff.
• Experience leading adventure activities such as games, initiative, high and low ropes activities.
• Previous landscaping, maintenance or custodial experience.
