Salary: $115,000
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
What You'll Do:
- Oversee and ensure the safety of employees, subcontractors, and the public during Chimes DC operations
- Enforce corporate, federal, state, and local safety/health standards
- Develop, evaluate, and update project-specific safety programs with the Director of QA & Compliance
- Conduct quarterly safety surveys, inspections, and job hazard/risk assessments; report findings and recommend corrective action
- Deliver an annual plan for meeting health, safety, and environmental regulatory requirements
- Coordinate and teach safety training, including OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour courses; schedule re-certifications
- Ensure PPE and on-site security compliance
- May supervise staff with safety responsibilities, including guidance, complaint handling, and discipline recommendations
- Serve as backup point of contact for OSHA or other regulatory reviews
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in safety or related field preferred
- OSHA #501 General Industry Outreach Trainer authorization (required); CPR/First-Aid Instructor preferred
- 5+ years of professional safety and health experience
- Experience with hospital standards, OSHA/DOT/EPA regulations, and CIMS-certified facilities preferred
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Valid driver's license (3+ years); must be 25+ to drive a 15-passenger van
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in varied conditions
