Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will administer and designs compute and storage systems and recommends improvements necessary to ensure operation of Choctaw Nation systems. You will report to the Information Systems Manager.
Primary Tasks:
- You will lead the design of enterprise storage environments, including enterprise storage arrays, fiber channel switches and Network Attached Storage (NAS).
- Lead the design of enterprise compute environments, including virtualization hardware, physical servers, and hosted systems.
- Develop solutions and processes for reliable and stable data storage management, security, backup, restoration, archiving and replication.
- Assure systems performance, stability, and security.
- You will lead projects working across departments. Perform complex tasks using critical-thinking.
- Develop or help develop IT policy.
- Design server OS, including Windows Server 2008, 2012+, and Redhat Linux.
- Implement Windows Active Directory environments.
- Design, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-wide VMware environments.
- You will apply company procedures to resolve issues promptly.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or 4 years related experience.
- 8+ years of experience designing and managing system infrastructure based on best practices.
- Experience of Microsoft and VMWare system technologies (operating system and virtualization)
- Microsoft MCSA, VMWare VCP, or greater certification or equivalent experience
- Must be comfortable working in an accountable and maintain flexible working hours.
- 5 years' experience designing important system infrastructure.
