As a Manufacturing Training Intern, you will join our manufacturing team, where continuous learning, innovation, and employee development help drive operational excellence.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting training initiatives for production and material handling employees. You'll work on real-world projects involving instructional design, process documentation, video development, and AI-driven training solutions while learning how employee development contributes to a safe, efficient, and high-performing manufacturing environment.

The Role & Your Impact

As a Manufacturing Training Intern, you will work alongside production employees, engineers, and operational leaders to develop and improve training resources that support workforce development and manufacturing excellence. You will gain exposure to manufacturing processes while helping create engaging and effective learning experiences for employees across the site.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support the creation and implementation of training programs for production and material handling employees.
• Develop and update Job Instructions, standard work documentation, and training materials.
• Create training videos and visual learning tools to support onboarding and employee development.
• Collaborate with production employees and subject matter experts to document processes and best practices.
• Research, evaluate, and help implement AI tools that improve training effectiveness and knowledge retention.
• Assist with training-related continuous improvement projects and process enhancements.
• Support the organization and maintenance of training documentation and employee training records.
• Present project findings, recommendations, and outcomes to site leadership when applicable.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

We are looking for students who are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in:

• Computer Science
• Industrial Engineering

Required Qualifications and Competencies

• Strong interest in technology, manufacturing, training, and continuous improvement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize information and create clear, easy-to-follow training materials.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently while managing project responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in AI tools, digital learning technologies, and process improvement.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Sophomore standing or higher at the time of application.
• Ability to arrange your own housing and transportation.

Ways of Working / Working Conditions

• Full-time internship assignment lasting approximately 10 weeks.
• Located on-site at our New Berlin, WI location.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the production floor, including safety shoes, hairnets, and, in some cases, a respirator.
• Regular exposure to production and material handling operations while collaborating with employees on the manufacturing floor.

Compensation

Expected salary: $23/hr
