Assistant Manager, SME

• Oversee and administer SME insurance schemes, including product setup, pricing, and renewal processes.
• Monitor scheme performance, analyze trends, and recommend improvements.
• Assess and underwrite SME property risks according to company guidelines.
• Ensure timely and accurate policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals.
• Liaise with brokers, agents, and clients to clarify underwriting requirements and resolve queries.
• Provide technical support and training on SME scheme products
• Track portfolio performance, loss ratios, and profitability.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for management.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Accountable for adherence to all motor and fire related policies / frameworks / guidelines / SOPs and for ensuring accurate, timeliness and completeness of work. Repeated lapses or non adherence to policies and procedures will result in performance and consequence management actions in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to Chubb’s policies and procedures for motor and fire underwriting and processing, which adopted the requirements under Bank Negara Malaysia’s policy document, guidelines and specification letters on ‘Phased Liberalization of Motor and Fire Tariffs’ and the relevant governance process on pricing, product approval and performance monitoring for motor and fire business.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in property underwriting, preferably with exposure to SME schemes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Proficiency in insurance systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., CPCU, ACII) preferred.
