Key areas of responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with analysts on all aspects of equity research, as well as coordinate with other analysts and associates
- Develop and maintain industry databases, perform peer comparisons, and build financial models for companies
- Prepare detailed research reports highlighting key findings, investment theses, financial forecasts, catalysts, and valuation analyses
- Conduct thorough due diligence by engaging with company management and industry experts
- Monitor industry news and stay updated on company developments
- Assist in conducting comprehensive industry and company research
- Respond promptly to sales and client requests for information and analysis
- Participate in company briefings, industry events, roadshows, and conferences
Requirements
- Degree holder (graduated) in mathematics, statistic, finance or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of full-time relevant experience in equity research
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and make informed decisions
- Proficient in financial modelling and different valuation techniques, while embracing innovation and new technologies to enhance the research process
- Self-motivated, diligent, multi-tasking with high standards for excellence and attention to details
- Highly proficient in excel and good numeracy skills
- Well rounded, and a team player
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Fluency in both written and verbal English, with Chinese language is a plus but not essential
- Immediate available is highly preferred
- Experience in healthcare or biopharmaceutical sector is preferred but not a must
