Join Jefferson County Human Resources in Birmingham, Alabama, as a Business Systems Analyst and play a key role in supporting the technology and systems that keep HR operations running. In this position, you will serve as a link between HR, County departments, and technology, helping improve processes, troubleshoot system issues, analyze data, create reports, and support the County’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS).COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES:
Monitors systems and information backup through records management, applications analysis, and various reporting systems to help ensure data integrity is maintained and backups are readily available.
Procures and/or manages inventory (i.e., supplies and equipment) to ensure the products and services are available to meet the operational needs of each department.
Investigates computer-related problems associated with the Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, databases, applications, or equipment by testing the system and monitoring system performance in order to resolve the problems for the end user.
Conducts training by creating programs and materials, utilizing vendor-provided training guides and facilitating training sessions in order to provide users with the knowledge and understanding of the hardware and software operation.
Designs, implements, and maintains software and hardware specifications for Information Technology and various departments by interviewing end-users to determine system needs, performing system set ups and coordinating system implementation in order to meet end-user requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Job is primarily sedentary involving sitting for long periods of time, but may involve occasional walking or standing for brief periods. May involve occasional light lifting of items or objects weighing up to 25 lbs.WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is conducted almost exclusively indoors in an office setting. Work involves use of standard office equipment, such as computer, phone, copier, etc.EEO STATEMENT:
