Performs manual work setting up and serving at banquets or other events, working concession stands, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Assistant and/or Food and Beverage Manager.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED and minimal experience in banquet services, concessions, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Some knowledge of the nature of operations at the City's civic facilities; some knowledge of the use or care of food preparation equipment; ability to work long hours while standing and under high temperature conditions; ability to work with the public in a cordial, effective, and professional manner; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisors, and the general public.
Physical Requirements
This work requires the regular exertion of up to 10 pounds of force, frequent exertion of up to 25 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions, frequently requires stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling and lifting and occasionally requires sitting and tasting or smelling; work requires depth perception and color perception; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, using of measuring devices, operating machines, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires exposure to fumes or airborne particles, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, exposure to outdoor weather conditions, exposure to extreme cold (non-weather), exposure to extreme heat (non-weather), exposure to the risk of electrical shock and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment; work is generally in a loud noise location (e.g. grounds maintenance, heavy traffic).
