The City's Utilities department is seeking hard-working individuals to join the Water Distribution team as Water Distribution Technicians. This is a year-round, entry-level position that entails significant physical labor and working in inclement weather, including rain, snow and in muddy conditions. Duties include general maintenance and repair and replacement of water mains and pipelines.
This position has an excellent field training program to assist incumbents in obtaining the skills needed for advancement. Trainees will receive training and assistance on company-paid time to obtain a Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL), which is required by the conclusion of the six-month initial hire probationary period. Training, study time, and equipment are all provided by the City.
