About the Role

Civeo is seeking a safety-focused Bus Driver Utility to join our remote village operations team on a FIFO roster.

This is a dual-purpose role, with duties typically split between bus driving and utility work. You will be responsible for the safe transportation of personnel between the village, airport and operational areas, while also supporting the day-to-day operation of the village through housekeeping, cleaning, kitchen support, waste management and general camp duties.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who enjoys a hands-on role and is comfortable working across different operational areas in a remote mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

Bus Driving Duties

• Safely transport personnel between the village, airport and operational areas.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre-start inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Maintain accurate trip records and complete relevant documentation.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel via two-way radio and other communication tools.
• Adhere to all road safety, site safety and fatigue management requirements.
• Assist with emergency transport requirements when required.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, presentable and maintained to a high standard.

Utility Duties

• Support housekeeping and cleaning activities across village facilities.
• Undertake rubbish collection and waste management duties.
• Assist with kitchen and dining room operations, including cleaning and stock handling.
• Carry out general camp support tasks as directed.
• Assist other departments to meet operational requirements.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service.

About You

• Valid and unrestricted MR Licence or higher.
• Current Passenger Transport Driver Authorisation (PTD) or ability to obtain.
• Previous experience in a Bus Driver, Utility, Mine Site Services or similar role.
• FIFO and/or remote site experience highly regarded.
• Experience operating manual and automatic heavy vehicles.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices, vehicle inspections and hazard reporting.
• Confident using two-way radio communications and working within safety-critical environments.
• Physically fit and able to undertake a range of utility duties, including cleaning, manual handling and outdoor work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• First Aid Certificate desirable.
