Advanced Practice Provider (NP, PA) - Radiology

Overview

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide onsite clinical support for our client, Florida Coast Medical Center, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an APP looking for a consistent Monday-Friday, part-time schedule in a hospital environment. The APP will work closely with the radiology team and physicians to support a variety of diagnostic imaging and minimally invasive procedures. 

Responsibilities

• Assist with and/or perform designated radiology and imaging-related procedures within scope of practice
• Perform fluoroscopy-related procedures
• Perform fine needle aspirations (FNA) and other image-guided procedures as appropriate
• Conduct and assist with swallow screens/studies
• Obtain relevant patient histories and perform focused assessments prior to procedures
• Obtain informed consent and explain procedures to patients when applicable
• Monitor patients during and following procedures
• Document patient encounters, procedures, findings, and follow-up appropriately 
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Provide a professional, compassionate patient experience

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Florida
• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
• Current, unrestricted DEA registration
• Current BLS certification, ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
• Previous experience in radiology, imaging, procedural medicine, or interventional radiology
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while following established hospital protocols and physician direction

Work Environment

• On-site position located at Florida Coast Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day
