The Clinic RN, LPN or Medical Assistant assists Physicians, Mid-level practitioners, and medical students with patient care. This includes preparing patients and the examination rooms, taking initial medical history for the chart, taking vital signs, making lab and x-ray appointments, and explaining the preparations to the patients.
NATURE AND SCOPE
The Clinic RN, LPN or Medical Assistant reports to Physicians, Mid-levels, Nurse Manager, and VP Clinic Operations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Require full range of motion including handling, lifting, and transferring patients. Manual and finger dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, standing, and walking for extensive periods are required. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 to 30 pounds. Normal corrected vision and hearing are needed. Must have the ability to work under stressful conditions and flexible work hours. There may be some exposure to communicable diseases and Blood Borne Pathogens.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Work week will be based upon the office hours scheduled for public service with normal work week to be 40 hours. May be required to work overtime depending on patient volume.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous demonstrated nursing experience. Current Kansas Nursing License or Medical Assistant certification. Current BLS certification.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Patient, courteous, and tactful with neat and friendly appearance. Ability to communicate and relate well with Physicians and other Clinical staff. Must be efficient and conscientious in delivering medical care services to patients. Must have awareness of patient confidentiality and be able to follow directions well from Physicians and other Clinical staff.

Infant:
Ages 0-3 yrs.
Pediatric:
Ages 4-12 yrs.
Adolescent:
Ages 13-20 Yrs.
Adult:
Ages 21-64 yrs.
Geriatric:
Ages: 65+ yrs.
