    JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician

    SCHEDULE: Full Time

    LOCATION: Westminster, CO

    INDUSTRY: Food Manufacturing  

    FLSA STATUS: Hourly Exempt  

    REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager 

    Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician performs day-to-day maintenance, repair, and equipment troubleshooting including, but not limited to, the following major tasks and responsibilities:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Diagnose, inspect, and repair complex interrelated process machinery in a sanitary food manufacturing environment
    • Provide preventative maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities with mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical skills
    • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC I/O systems and field devices.
    • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on motion control systems, servo drives, and VFDs.
    • Support equipment operating with voltages ranging from 480V AC to 24V DC control systems.
    • Troubleshoot sensors, relays, contactors, motors, and safety circuits.
    • Assist with equipment startups, commissioning, and machine modifications.
    • Performs preventative maintenance in accordance with schedules and equipment O&M recommendations/Claremont Foods standards
    • Facilities maintenance such as drywall repairs, basic plumbing, man door and garage door repair, and office maintenance
    • Responds to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs to maintain production equipment in a full safe working capacity
    • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
    • Consistently follow food safety and good manufacturing practices
    • Maintains compliance with SQF standards and use of appropriate PPE
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 4 years of experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance technician
    • Highly motivated, hardworking individual who enjoys working as a team, possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and an obsessive commitment to customer safety, service, quality, and consistency
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Must have a strong mechanical and Electrical intuition and be proficient with hand tools and repair techniques
    • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in industrial environments.
    • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and control drawings.
    • Experience troubleshooting PLC I/O systems.
    • Knowledge of motion control systems, servo motors/drives, and VFDs.
    • Understanding industrial power distribution from 480V AC to 24V DC control circuits.
    • Industrial networking, PLC & HMI Allen Bradle Programming is a plus.
    • Welding experience
    • Ability to work at height with proper fall protection equipment
    • Ability to prioritize and manage workload efficiently with and without assistance and oversight
    • Ability to work in wide range of environments, including range of temperatures with proper PPE and safe practices when required
    • Must have basic math and computer skills including email communication, and ability to use computer-based maintenance work order scheduling systems and reporting
    • Must be able to stand for periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, turn body and walk
    • Sufficient mobility and dexterity to safely and properly use hand and power tools

    Required Experience and Skills:

    • Must be 18 years or older
    • 1 year or more of work experience in any industry
    • Basic computer and math skills
    • Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions in English
    • Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
    • Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Maintenance and Food Manufacturing Industry experience preferred
    • 6 years of experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance technician
