TAX ANALYST

•Prepare and deliver federal and state/local tax returns on a timely basis
•Prepare and review quarterly federal and state and local income tax payment calculations
•Assist SBUs with their Annual operating plans as they relate to corporate income taxes, e.g., cash tax forecasts
•Assist in the preparation of the federal and state (current and deferred) tax provisions in accordance with FAS 109 and FIN 48
•Prepare and complete all appropriate Corporate tax reporting packages, as required
•Provide assistance in the information gathering process for the ongoing IRS and State Income and Franchise Tax audits
•Coordinate data gathering and preparation of special tax projects for both
Federal and State tax purposes, e.g., Section 199 manufacturing deduction,
R&D tax credits, Section 263A Uniform Capitalization adjustment.
•Review book/tax depreciation adjustments (M-3s) calculated by the business units
•Translate general ledger data into the tax software format to enable electronic tax return preparation.
•Support Incorporated Corporate tax reporting consolidation in conjunction with corporate tax and accounting staff.

•Knowledge of basic tax rules and regulations

•Specialist function requiring technical skills and experience in federal and multi-state taxation

•Good working knowledge of financial accounting

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
3 years tax experience in a large corporate environment or public accounting firm
Proven experience in the preparation of both federal and state & local tax returns as well as income tax provisions (FAS 109)
Familiarity with corporate tax software, e.g., Vertex, iTaxStream, and CCH
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time in order to travel to all assigned sites at least once per year
