Supply Manager I (NHS)

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs routine and advances duties associated with inventory, material, and equipment management. Develops knowledge, skills, and experience in Front counter, and Warehouse shipping and receiving. Progresses from entry through advanced semi-skilled abilities by proven service and successful related vocational instruction that will lead to a more specialized focus. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

50 % Inventory Management Training and Development:
Assists and performs tasks of on-the-job training in loading and unloading materials and equipment, records management, and stocking shelves. Demonstrates the ability to operate various lifts, vehicles, and equipment. Verifies packing slips incoming and out-coming shipments. Receives and Disburses shipments in inventory system. Assists Front counter and keeps accurate records, verifies quantities, pricing back orders, damages and shortages in the inventory management software. Assists others with warehouse housekeeping duties. Provides direction and communication with truck drivers concerning deliveries, damages, and in-coming shipments.

20% Customer Service:
Provides customer service and flexibility. Keeps personnel informed on the status of materials ordered and received. Notifies co-workers and customers when their parts and material are ready for pick-up. Keeps accurate maintenance logs, inspects tools, and provides guidance in shipping and receiving procedures.

20% Safety:
Follows established safety procedures including proper equipment calibration, PPE requirements, and equipment maintenance. Cleans equipment and vehicles. Notify supervisor of needed repairs to vehicles and equipment.

10% Training and Mentorship:
Leads, guides, and/or trains less experienced employees in applicable procedures and techniques. Completes the required training and testing to maintain applicable licensing.

Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment.

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:

Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
