Rangatahi Pathways Coordinator

Help young people build confidence, overcome barriers, and create positive futures.

In this part-time role, you will build trusted relationships with rangatahi, help identify and address barriers to engagement, connect them with appropriate support services, and encourage them to stay focused on their goals. Whether it's providing practical assistance, supporting wellbeing, liaising with whānau, or celebrating milestones, you'll play a key role in helping participants achieve sustainable outcomes.

This is a part-time role offering a minimum of 15 hours per week, on a three-year fixed term contract.

What You'll Do:

• Build trusted relationships with rangatahi through mentoring, encouragement and practical support.
• Support participant wellbeing and help address barriers to engagement, attendance and achievement.
• Connect participants and whānau with community services, support networks and opportunities.
• Guide participants towards sustainable employment, training, education and other positive outcomes.

What you will bring:

• Experience in youth work, community development, education, employment services, social services or a similar field.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• A positive, solutions-focused approach.

• The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
• An understanding of the challenges that can impact young people and their engagement.
• A commitment to creating positive outcomes for rangatahi and whānau.
