The SEC Technician builds, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems and components.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Apply knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation
· Provide skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas
· Install and integrate security control systems: access control, video surveillance, intercom systems, video visitation systems, duress systems, etc.
· Read blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembling electronics
· Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and filed representatives as necessary
· Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment
· Adjust and replace defective or improperly functions circuitry and electrical components
· Test electronic units, using standard test equipment, a analyze results to evaluate performance
· Develop understanding and take part in Field Quality Control and Quality Assurance process
· Lift up to 50lbs
· Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
· Maintain the standards, culture and values of CML Security
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· 3 Years of related experience or equivalent education preferred
