Coastal Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead estimating and preconstruction activities for dredging projects throughout the East Coast.
This is a key position within a growing organization and will play an important role in identifying opportunities, developing competitive estimates, evaluating project risk, and supporting the company's continued expansion into new markets. The ideal candidate is a seasoned marine construction professional who understands not only how to price a project, but how the work will be performed in the field. Key Responsibilities · Review project plans, specifications, scopes, and bid requirements · Develop accurate estimates, take-offs, and pricing for marine construction and commercial diving projects · Evaluate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and production requirements · Develop project approach, means and methods, and preliminary schedules · Solicit and review pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors · Identify project risks, exclusions, and potential cost impacts · Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and discussions with clients, engineers, and subcontractors · Prepare and finalize competitive bids and proposals · Work closely with Operations and Project Management to support successful project turnover · Assist with change order pricing, cost analysis, and other estimating needs as projects progress
