    What will you do as a Maintenance Mechanic?

    As part of the Operations Team, the Maintenance Mechanic is Responsible for troubleshooting and providing immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines and facilitating change-over.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
    • Overhaul and install new equipment.
    • Rebuild and fabricate parts.
    • Perform facility maintenance and maintain clean and safe work area.
    • Generate parts request to ensure adequate inventory.
    • Generate and complete work orders as assigned.
    • Perform and/or assist with equipment change-overs and production line set ups.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Ability to follow equipment manufacturer’s specifications.
    • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams.
    • Mechanical skills.
    • Ability to diagnose problems and formulate solutions on production machinery and building mechanical systems.
    • Electrical problem diagnosis and repair.
    • Welding skills, construction abilities, plumbing and mechanical system repair.
    • Adaptability – Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
    • Communication – Ability to effectively, clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing.
    • Decision Making – Display willingness to make critical decisions while following company practices.
    • Enthusiasm – Ability to bring energy to the day to day as well as long-term tasks and plans.
    • Judgment – Display willingness to make timely decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
    • Planning & Organizing – Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans.
    • Reliability – Demonstrate regular attendance and availability to staff and management.
    • Quality Management – Demonstrate commitment to improve and promote quality in all operating areas.
    • Safety & Security – Promote and personally observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.
