Responsibilities
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) to verify compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform detailed inspections using advanced measurement tools, including CMMs.
- Analyze inspection data, identify deviations, and initiate root cause analysis.
- Lead 8D, 5 why's, and Fishbone diagram analyses to uncover underlying issues.
- Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to enhance product quality.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and generate comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their adherence to our quality standards.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and suggest process improvements.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles for optimized processes.
- Conduct supplier audits to maintain consistent quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong technical expertise in CNC milling and assembly processes.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and GD&T symbols.
- Experience with root cause analysis methods, including 8D and Fishbone diagrams.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools like Kaizen and 5S.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in using inspection equipment and software.
