    Job description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cloud Engineer, reporting to the Senior Manager Cloud Engineering, for our Technology Hub in Madrid. This is a unique opportunity to become part of our team that helps shape the culture, practices, and technical direction. Working in a hybrid model (2 days on-site), you will enjoy significant freedom to innovate and influence the future of one of the world’s largest commercial real estate companies. With the leadership of the Global Technology Hub coming from a background of technology startups, you will benefit from a fast-paced learning environment, high visibility of your contributions and opportunities to shape processes, culture and technology strategies. At the same time, you take advantage of the stability, resources, and reach of a successful global company.

Guided by our global digital strategy, the Madrid Hub collaborates closely with international teams to deliver world-class technology solutions that power the future of commercial real estate.

Build, maintain and improve cloud-native and hybrid workloads using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation strategies. This position will deliver infrastructure in a secure, scalable, and repeatable manner across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure, enabling consistent, secure, and developer friendly environments for application teams.

The position will contribute to global products and technology services that serve both internal and external customers in Commercial Real Estate across multiple regions. Working closely with international Product, Engineering, DevOps, Data, QA and Architecture teams, the position will ensure delivery excellence, engineering quality and great consumer experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Implement scalable and secure GCP infrastructure based on alignment with Technical Design Documents and business requirements.
    • Develop CI/CD pipelines, including IaC versioning and change-control workflows.
    • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, through reusable, well-documented infrastructure modules.
    • Monitor cloud performance, reliability, and cost using GCP-native tools (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Cost Management).
    • Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry standards (e.g., IAM, VPC, encryption, audit logging).
    • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, performance bottlenecks, and incidents.
    • Maintain disaster recovery plans, backups, and high-availability configurations.
    • Ensure infrastructure meets SLO/SLA expectations through supporting incident resolution.
    • Maintain high-quality documentation and runbooks.
    • 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering.
    • Deep hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as Code (Terraform) and automation frameworks.
    • Strong knowledge of GCP and Azure, including networking, IAM, storage and monitoring.
    • Experience working in distributed or remote teams and using tools such as Jira, GitHub, Miro and Azure DevOps.
    • Experience in working in a global, multi-cultural organization.
    • Experience with observability tools (e.g. Sentry, Lighthouse, etc.).
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing tech environment and to foster change in larger organizations.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Superior organizational skills, mindfulness, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
    • Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science, preferred.
    • GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
