Press Operator, 1st Shift - $20-21.50 to start

Description:

The Stamping Press Operator will be responsible for the set-up and operation of a variety of machines in the stamping department.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Set up machine, set die in press.
• Operate Presses in a safe manner.
• Perform SPC quality checks.
• Setup and operate manual threading machine.
• Perform general machine maintenance.
• Inspect parts using measuring and inspection devices.
• Complete labor reporting via computer.
• Maintain clean work area, including cleanup of oil.
• Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
• Multi-task to operate more than one machine/press at a time.

Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Operation of heavy machinery such as forklift/lift truck.

Physical Requirements:

• Workers are required to lift packages up to 50 pounds.
• Walk long distances throughout the day.
• Stand for several hours at a time, consecutively.

Skills:

• Must be able to use precision measuring tools.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have manual dexterity, good eye/hand coordination.
• Employees are required to use hand tools.
