    Job description

    Overview

    At Columbia Basin Health Association (CBHA) we never have to wonder whether the work we do is worthwhile.  Each day we see victories and successes, big and small, in the lives of people who count on us.  This position is responsible for providing services and implementing the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Education Program in accordance with program policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties for the day-to-day operation and implementation as required by the Washington state WIC Program.
  2. Responsible for screening and educating program participants
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies relevant to program functions for referral needs.
  4. Travels to remote clinic sites to support program activities, other work related activities and/or trainings.
  5. Promotes a positive work culture and upholds policies and procedures, including the WE CARE Standards of Behavior.
  6. Must uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
  8. Qualifications

    Professional and Technical Knowledge:

  9. Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communication skills and mathematical knowledge typically acquired through completion of a high school program.
  10. License and Certifications:

  11. Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet company insurance liability standards to drive company vehicles.
  12. Technical Skills:

  13. Basic knowledge on using computers and the ability to work in a Windows environment using Microsoft Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  14. Ability to enter and manage data into a centralized data management system.
  15. Communication Skills:

  16. Job duties require the employee to effectively communicate basic or non-technical information to co-workers and others.
  17. Employees are expected to exercise tact and diplomacy in the resolution of mild conflict or disagreements.
  18. Job duties require the compilation of information prepared in effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles, or other documentation.
  19. Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing and translating both English and Spanish.
