    Baton Rouge Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant  Transportation Driver to join our TEAM!

    *Must hold a valid CNA license*

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • The Certified Nursing Assistant Transportation Driver under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to provide transportation services for facility Residents using the facility van.
    • Work with nursing staff to schedule medical appointments.
    • Transport residents to and from their medical appointments.
    • In coordination with nursing staff ensure that proper medical documents are accurate for transport to medical visits/appointments.
    • Maintain safety and comfort of residents during transportation.
    • Keep a detailed log of all transports.
    • Maintain the routine van mileage log.
    • In coordination with facility maintain and schedule routine van maintenance.

    Qualifications

    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
    • Valid Louisiana Driver’s License.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, residents, families, and physicians.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
    • Sociable, courteous, and sympathetic.
    • Public relations Skills.

    Other Qualifications

    • Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
    • Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment.
    • Capable of providing emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility.
    • Participate in pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening.

    Physical Demands

    • Standing, sitting, bending, stooping.
    • Ability to walk up and down stairs.
    • Ability to assist with loading residents on and off van.
