Position Purpose
- Manages and coordinates administrative and clinical services for one or more physician office sites.
- Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness in an office.
- Supervises medical, nursing and clerical staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Typically reports to top management.
Position Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Health Care or Business Administration preferred.
- May consider experience in practice management and board certification in lieu of education.
Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes
- Two to Three years of management experience in a large primary care provider practice network and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple physician practice locations.
- Experience working in a hospital system environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of and experience with physician practice systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
