We care for over 72,000 war graves, 66,000 commemorations, and 17 Commission-owned cemeteries, ensuring every site reflects the dignity, respect, and excellence that underpin our mission.
We're looking for a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our Finance team in Thailand. This is more than an accounting role. It is an opportunity to contribute to a globally respected organization whose work has genuine meaning and impact.
    The Impact You'll Make

Behind every cemetery, memorial, restoration project, and visitor experience is a strong financial foundation. As Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial operations across the Pacific Region. Your work will help ensure that resources are managed responsibly, reports are accurate, and financial processes run smoothly, allowing operational teams to focus on preserving some of the world's most important sites of remembrance.

    In this role, you will:

    • Maintain the financial health and accountability of CWGC operations throughout the Pacific Region.
    • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense processing, and bookkeeping activities.
    • Review financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with CWGC policies and delegated authorities.
    • Process and reconcile banking transactions, balance sheet accounts, and corporate credit card records.
    • Support month-end and year-end financial reporting activities.
    • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
    • Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy
    • Support internal and external audits by maintaining organized records and responding to financial information requests.
    • Process purchase management and expense transactions using CWGC systems and applications.
    • Maintain digital financial records and statutory documentation to support transparency, accountability, and operational excellence.
    • Provide administrative support to the Finance Team as required.

    What You'll Bring

You are someone who takes pride in producing accurate work, values organization, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. You understand that strong financial processes are essential to the success of any organization and are motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution.

    You will bring:

    • A secondary school diploma and post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
    • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting administration, or financial support roles.
    • Knowledge of general accounting principles, financial controls, and bookkeeping practices.
    • Experience processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense claims, and reconciliations.
    • Experience using accounting systems and financial software, with a willingness to learn Great Plains.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
    • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
    • A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
    • Fluent written and spoken English.

    What We Offer

At CWGC, your work carries meaning beyond the numbers. Every transaction processed and every report completed helps ensure we can continue our commitment to honouring those who gave their lives in service.
    In return, we offer:

    • A purpose-driven career with a globally respected organization.
    • The opportunity to contribute to a mission that makes a lasting difference.
    • A welcoming, collaborative, and supportive international team environment.
