Contract Manager

Community Hospital is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support contract review, drafting, negotiation, execution, and ongoing contract management across Colorado West Healthcare System (CWHS) entities. This position works with clinical and non-clinical service and supply agreements, including arrangements in which CWHS serves as the supplier.
The Contract Manager serves as a key resource to operational and senior leaders throughout the contracting process, helping ensure agreements support organizational objectives while appropriately addressing financial, regulatory, compliance, and business considerations.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Review, draft, revise, and negotiate a broad range of healthcare and commercial agreements.
- Partner with department directors and senior leaders to understand business requirements, operational capabilities, and the financial impact of proposed agreements.
- Analyze contract terms, conditions, and special provisions for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Identify contractual risk and recommend revisions designed to protect CWHS and support organizational objectives.
- Determine when Business Associate Agreements or other supporting agreements are necessary.
- Coordinate contract review with internal and external legal counsel and Compliance.
- Negotiate proposed changes directly with vendors and other contracting parties.
- Review fair market value considerations for agreements involving physicians.
- Coordinate required internal approvals, including Board of Trustee approval when applicable.
- Oversee contract execution and help ensure agreements are fully executed before services or purchases begin. Contract Manager
- Track contracts, renewals, vendor correspondence, performance, and contractual compliance.
- Support contract audits, closeout activities, and reporting.
- Develop and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs), evaluate vendor proposals, and partner with internal stakeholders in vendor selection. Contract Manager
What We’re Looking For
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
- At least four years of experience in sourcing, procurement, contracting, and/or category management within the healthcare industry preferred, including experience drafting and negotiating agreements across multiple areas of business.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of contract drafting, contract terminology, risk-based language, document management, and commercial contracting principles.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate complex business and contractual issues with leaders, vendors, customers, and legal counsel.
- Strong business judgment, analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to independently prioritize multiple agreements and deadlines.

Legal education is not required for this position. However, candidates who hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and are actively licensed and in good standing to practice law in Colorado may be eligible for additional compensation based on qualifications and the scope of responsibilities assigned.
Compensation
This is an exempt, salaried position.
Hiring Range: $72,800 – $83,720 annually
Equivalent to $35.00 – $40.25 per hour based on a 2,080-hour work year.
