Plumber, Full-Time

Position Highlights:

• Position: Plumber
• Schedule: M-F with rotating on call
• Location: Main Hospital – May require to travel to other departments as needed

Responsibilities:

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs plumbing systems throughout the hospital and ancillary facilities including back flow repair and testing. Positions install valves, controls, gauges, and switches, installs plumbing systems that meet all applicable building codes, assists with refrigerate components, tests and adjusts gauges, and controls for more efficient operations.
• Performs general maintenance duties as assigned for the hospital and ancillary facilities including work orders assigned, materials and scheduling work, maintenance and repairs of pumps, and plumbing systems in all critical areas. Also monitors fire control systems related to sprinkler systems and repairs and maintains kitchen and cafeteria equipment.
• Performs PM on all plumbing equipment while maintaining Joint Commission requirements by correcting equipment for compliance and completing Plan for Improvements (PFI) work orders.
• Participates in construction activities. Responsible for the installation of all piping and plumbing equipment in renovation areas to include controls. Complies with infection control requirements during renovations and construction activity.
• Cross trains to other trades. HVAC, light electrical, carpentry, and grounds.

Requirements:

No educational requirement.

Five (5) years of Carpentry/Mechanical experience

OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation:

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $32.00 - $36.80 per hour, commensurate with qualifications, education, experience, and other applicable factors. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Additional compensation may be available in the form of discretionary incentive or other compensation programs. Any such additional compensation is not guaranteed and is determined at the sole discretion of the organization based on applicable program terms, individual and/or organizational performance, and other eligibility requirements.

• Relocation: Must relocate to Grand Junction, CO 81505 before starting work.
