About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and inspirational leader to play a key role in shaping our operational strategy, delivering strong commercial performance and building a high-performing culture across our operations.

We’re looking for someone who is visible, hands-on and passionate about people, someone who can lead from the front, build strong relationships and inspire teams to deliver their best.

What will you be doing?

As Head of Operations & Transport, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of packing, warehousing, storage and transport across ambient, chilled and frozen operations.
• Working closely with commercial and supply teams to develop effective operational plans that support business growth.
• Managing transport, storage and operational costs, ensuring performance is delivered against budgets and business objectives.
• Driving productivity, service, quality and continuous improvement through clear operational KPIs.
• Developing, coaching and empowering operational leaders and colleagues to create a high-performance culture.
• Leading innovation, continuous improvement and capital investment initiatives to improve efficiency and service.
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, BRC and all relevant operational standards.
• Building a strong leadership pipeline and developing talent across the operations function.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 5:00pm. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business.
