    Job description

Compass of Hope is seeking an experienced, collaborative clinician to join our leadership team as a Site & Clinical Supervisor. This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys mentoring others, building strong teams, improving clinical quality, and having a meaningful voice in how a behavioral health practice operates.

Unlike a traditional management position, this role allows you to maintain a reduced clinical caseload while dedicating protected time to leadership, supervision, and team development. You will serve as the primary leadership presence for your assigned office while working closely with Compass of Hope's executive and clinical leadership teams.

    What You'll Do

Lead & Develop The Clinical Team

    • Serve as the primary clinical and operational leader for your assigned Compass of Hope office.
    • Create a supportive, accountable, and collaborative environment where clinicians can grow and do their best work.
    • Provide clinical consultation, mentorship, and guidance to therapists.
    • Provide individual and/or group clinical supervision to interns and pre-licensed clinicians in accordance with applicable licensing requirements.
    • Review and sign clinical documentation for clinicians under your supervision.
    • Support clinicians in navigating complex cases, ethical considerations, documentation concerns, and clinical decision-making.
    • Identify high-risk or complex situations and collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services when additional leadership support is needed.

    Support Clinical Excellence

    • Promote high-quality, ethical, evidence-based clinical care.
    • Support strong documentation practices and compliance with agency, licensing, payer, and regulatory requirements.
    • Help identify opportunities to improve clinical workflows, staff support, and the overall client experience.
    • Reinforce agency policies and expectations while approaching staff concerns with professionalism, consistency, and a solutions-focused mindset.

    Oversee Day-to-Day Office Operations

    • Help ensure smooth daily operations within your assigned location.
    • Oversee provider schedules, clinical coverage, and site-level workflow needs.
    • Support the onboarding and integration of new clinicians and interns.
    • Partner with administrative and executive leadership to identify and resolve staffing, scheduling, workflow, and operational concerns.
    • Participate in agency-wide initiatives and projects that support the continued growth and development of Compass of Hope.

    Build a Connected Team

Leadership at Compass of Hope is collaborative. You will not be expected to manage everything alone.

    • Meet with the clinical director and clinical leadership team for up to one hour each week to identify concerns, discuss team needs, and improve workflows.
    • Delegate appropriate responsibilities and follow-up items to team leads.
    • Maintain consistent communication with executive leadership regarding site performance, staffing needs, successes, and emerging concerns.
    • Help create a workplace culture where employees feel supported, informed, and connected to the larger organization.

    Maintain Your Clinical Practice

We believe strong clinical leaders benefit from remaining connected to the work clinicians are doing every day.

This position maintains a reduced caseload of approximately 15–20 clients per week, allowing you to continue providing direct clinical care while having dedicated time for leadership, supervision, consultation, and administrative responsibilities.

Who Would Thrive in This Role?

This may be a great fit if you are an experienced clinician who:

    • Enjoys mentoring and developing other clinicians.
    • Wants to advance into leadership without completely stepping away from clinical practice.
    • Is confident providing clinical supervision and constructive feedback.
    • Values high-quality, ethical, evidence-based behavioral healthcare.
    • Is organized and comfortable balancing clinical and operational responsibilities.
    • Communicates clearly and approaches challenges with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
    • Wants to have a meaningful role in shaping team culture and improving how a growing behavioral health organization operates.

    Requirements:

    • NH Board Approved Clinical Supervisor
    • Licensed in New Hampshire as a LICSW, LMFT or LCMHC
    • Willingness to obtain licensure in Massachusetts and Maine
    • Preferred experience with leadership
