Job Summary:-
Provide technical instruction and direction to the manufacturing personnel (processes include extrusion, cabling, braiding, testing), sales, engineering, and maintenance. Troubleshoot and analyze the process/materials/equipment when required.
Maintain ISO 9000 quality system through the frame work of our Quality Manual. Provide routine employee training, systems implementation/improvements and maintenance of quality records.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:-
• Manufacturing Support (trouble shooting). Provide technical, hands on process/product assistance to manufacturing.
• Manufacturing Support (instruction). With emphasis on ISO compliance, enhance and augment the training of trainees/operators /technicians as needed. Conduct audits and maintain records as needed.
• Continuous improvement/NCMs/Failure Analysis/Corrective Action Response. Work with manufacturing and sales on quality problems and process/product improvement. Provide technical support to maintenance and manufacturing to improve process capability.
• Process/Equipment design/maintenance
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:-
• Knowledge of UL/CSA/ETL/SAE/EIA/TIA wire and cable regulatory agencies and standards, and Category 5e, 6, 6a, 7 manufacturing processes.
• Improve process capability using real-time statistical process control (including laser diameter controls)
• Extrusion processing of thermoplastics (FEP, Foam FEP, PE, Foam PE, PVC, TPU)
• Systematic approach to problem solving (PDCA [Plan, Do, Check, Act], “The 7 Problem Solving Tools,” Design of Experiment)
• Shift supervisory duties to cover in absence of Plant Manager.
• Tooling Management
• Lean manufacturing implementation and leadership
• Bachelor Degree
• Manufacturing or Process Engineering cores a plus.
• Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience as Process Engineer in Category Cable manufacturing environment.
• Full knowledge and experience in manufacturing of Communications Cable (Category Cable) and data cable.
• ISO implementation experiences a plus.
• Strong technical communication (quality reports, process documentation, corrective action reports, proposals to management, etc.)
• proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Standard manufacturing environment. Air - conditioned office. Occasional work on second shift or third shift may be required based on production needs. Attendance at meetings and/or workplace learning sessions held during any shift may be required on an occasional basis.
